Our group will usually leave a person or two to save our seats while going to purchase and carry pitchers of beer and pizza. Because the lines are so long, it takes a while for them to return. Bystanders scoff at the seats that are “so obviously saved for someone who’s not there” without realizing that, yes, those people really are in the building, just delayed by the food lines. The person left at the seats is then put in an uncomfortable position of having to repeatedly explain this while getting dirty looks from people who want those seats.

So please! Everyone! Be quick about your refreshments!
